THE TANSOR OLYMPICS HAVE BEGUN!!! Here's how it works: 1) Choose an event from the picture or from the list. 2) Practice your event 3) Send Mrs. Taylor a recording (or picture) of you competing in this event. [email protected] 4) Repeat! Do as many as you want! Be sure to watch the video for ideas from Tansor Staff :)
Somehow my post got deleted!! Oh well, we will try again!
Happy May the 4th! This week's challenge is similar to last week's - explore Chrome Music Lab! There are many things you can experiment with on this site. If you want something specific, try taking this Star Wars theme and adding percussion to it! Play around with the play back instruments, and add other melodies or harmonies to make the Star Wars Theme your own! When you're done, save it and copy the link and send it to me so I can listen! Be prepared next week for the Tansor Fine Arts Olympics!! We don't get the real Olympics this summer, so we're going to make our own version. Take care of yourselves!! THANK YOU to everyone who sent me a message. I have loved hearing you sing, reading your thoughts, and finding out what you've been up to!!
I have a couple of challenges for you this week. Try one, or try them all! Comment below if you send me a challenge or just want to say hi! MUSIC: Explore Chrome Music Lab! This week, try "Kandinsky". You draw a picture and it plays back to you as a song. This whole website is so much fun to experiment with. musiclab.chromeexperiments.com/Kandinsky/ DANCE: Create a dance or learn a dance! -Here is a simple dance called the "Blinding Lights" challenge! I had my boys learn it and it's super fun. I'll post their video if they let me :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XULI3V-k06M -This is one is tricky, but looks like SO MUCH FUN. I'm challenging myself to learn some of it this week. https://youtu.be/3PA_t0pSYJc There are a ton more dance tutorials online. Record yourself doing some of the dance and email it to me! Don't worry - no one will see them but me! [email protected] I challenge you to keep music/art in your life!! Send me a video or picture of you singing a song, dancing, playing an instrument (ANY instrument, even if it's homemade, or use spoons, or maybe a child's toy?!). Send me a picture of something you've created (lego, a picture, a photo you've taken, a play dough creation) Send me anything at all! If you can't take a picture or video, just write to me and tell me about what you've been doing!
Feel free to leave a comment below if you send me something!! (I've had several students write to me and/or send videos and they have made my day!!) Or even comment to let me know if your picture is one of the Wonderful World pictures on the Home Page! AND HERE'S SOME VIDEOS YOU MIGHT ENJOY: Click on the links to view the videos. -The original cast of Dear Evan Hansen (as well as the touring cast) singing a beautiful song from the show (our choir sang this song two years ago) (the singing starts at about 2 minutes and 14 seconds) https://youtu.be/_10msPMEick -Jimmy Fallon classroom instruments!
